Summer:

June 23: The celebration of Klidonas is a unique experience with festive bonfires in Aliki, Naoussa, and Prodromos. Music, dance, local delicacies, and wine surround the ceremony where May Day wreaths are burned and jumps are made to ward off evil spirits.

June 24: Feast of St. Athanasios in the village of Kostos.

June 30: Eve of the feast at the Monastery of Agioi Anargyroi, near Parikia.

July 2: Special events at the Fish and Wine Festival in Naoussa.

July 16 & 17: Feast of St. Marina in the village of Kostos.

July 17: Revival of the Tsabouna in Naoussa.

July 24: Feast of St. Anna in Parikia.

July 26: Feast of the churches of St. Panteleimon in the villages of Kostos and Prodromos.

August 6: Feast of the Savior in Aliki and Marpissa.

August 15: Panagia Ekatontapyliani with religious ceremonies, a parade, and an impressive fireworks display.

August 23: Pirate Festival, reviving the raid of Barbarossa in Naoussa in 1537.

August 27: Feast of St. Fanourios in the village of Ambelas.

August 28 & 29: Feast of St. John the Dipper with festivities and events.

Autumn:

Early September: The Trachana Festival in Parikia offers a traditional feast with seafood delicacies, wine, and suma.

September 8: Feast and celebration for Panagia Faneromeni in Marmara.

September 14: Feast for the Elevation of the Holy Cross. In the morning, a festive Divine Liturgy with traditional treats is held in the courtyard of the Holy Church in Angairia. In the evening, traditional dances and songs from various parts of Greece are presented at the port of Aliki.

November 25: The feast of St. Catherine is solemnly celebrated in Lefkes, Paros. In the morning, a Divine Liturgy is held in the picturesque chapel, followed by a procession of the icon through the village's alleys. November 25 is also a day of remembrance for the Greek Resistance against the occupiers.

Winter:

Epiphany: In the island's ports, young people gather for the icy baptism in the Aegean and the Cross. The festival is celebrated with grandeur in Parikia and Naoussa.

Carnival: The masked parties start in bars and cafes, and the carnival season culminates with club events and carnivals in villages such as Naoussa, Parikia, and Marpissa.

Clean Monday: In Aliki, the kite flying is a spectacle. Besides the classic kites, children make "Kira Sarakosti" and celebrate the day with fasting foods like lagana and halva.

Spring:

March 25: In Ekatontapyliani, a festive Doxology and student parades are held to honor the national struggle of 1821.

Good Friday: Reenactments of the Passions in Marpissa.

April: Feast of St. George in Angairia.

May 8: Feast of St. John the Theologian in the village of Dryos.

FESTIVALS
